"Wisdom Teeth"

At the end of your teeth you will find 4 wisdom teeth. They are supposed to come in sometime around the age of 14. Personally, I would think they should have named these last four teeth something more appropriate for the age. Something like “I have lost my mind teeth” or “please connect my brain cells teeth” would be more suiting to the early teenage years. They may know how to run an “I-Phone” but wisdom is about as scarce as water in the desert.

When you begin to analyze wisdom you will find some interesting characteristics. In the Scriptures it states “all wisdom comes from God” so He is the source of wisdom. Experience, knowledge or understanding will not manifest itself into wisdom. In fact I have seen some very smart people do some extremely dumb things through the years. Heck, I am quite often the bonehead myself!

Real wisdom I believe comes from not the mind but the focus of one’s eyes. If your eyes are looking to God then by following Him your life will be inundated with wisdom. It comes from association and your relationship with Him.

Today do not depend upon wisdom teeth to determine how wise you are. Follow near to God and you will walk in wisdom.
Tim
