"Misunderstood Grace"

A very poor understanding of grace is evident today. It is taught one receives grace only if they ask for it. The fact you have thrown in the element of "works, actions, confessing or praying" into the right to receive it constitutes it not being grace. Look at the verse below:

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

The word translated into grace comes from the Greek word that graciousness as a gift or favour. What it cannot be used as being earned through any action. As it is written, we are saved by God's graciousness not of anything we can do, say or believe. It comes 100% from God, by God and through God with ZERO from us.

Today how do you define the grace of God? Is it through what you did to earn it? If so then you started your journey in the wrong direction. God is not to be discovered going through self righteous earning of your salvation. If one can understand graciousness then they will begin to understand God.
